My path towards nutrition started long ago in 2000. I was home sick one day and watched the cooking channel all. day. long. It was then that I decided to attend

culinary school, and later, I earned my BS in Dietetics from Sacramento State

University and my love for food transformed from the kitchen to how to prevent disease in the body with food.. I have been a practicing Registered Dietitian since 2008.

I have worked in a variety of settings: inpatient and outpatient consistently alongside functional medicine physicians. My private practice is all about supporting patients  who are looking for an alternative way of connecting with food, improving their health through a functional approach, and those who may not have access to a functional way of healing.

What is functional medicine? It is a question-asking way of treating, asking WHY. As a mid-level provider, I understand physiology and food-drug interactions which is helpful when looking to reduce symptoms. Many seek care with me due to having many symptoms that have been treated with a pill for every ill- yet the symptoms are still there...My approach supports your individual body and it's functions with food, teas, fresh herbs, nutrients, lifestyle medicine, essential oils, and if indicated, supplementation.
